For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))

When we're asked where we live, and we say Melksham, we're usually asked "Where's that?". We'll say "about 6 miles south of Chippenham" for people who live in Wiltshire, and "Not far from Bath" for others who are familiar with the UK. But for visitors from overseas, they'll feel able to place us is we say we're "Not far from Stonehenge".

Stonehenge was built in ancient times, and many arguments remain as just why it was built, and why it was built where it is, and how it was built. These days, you'll find much written material available so that you can listen to the arguments - on boards at Stonehenge itself, publications sold in the shop there, and on line.

Now my first two pictures probably gave you the impressions that Stonehenge is about a thousand miles from the nearest inhabited place, but that's far from the case. Heading out from London to the West on the A303, you'll find in just off to one side of the road a couple of miles after you pass Amesbury. Others will probably have found it too.

If you're travelling around and don't have a car, you can still see Stonhenge - there's a regular public bus service from Salisbury, as well as numerous tours available.
