Savernake
 Bruce Tunnel, Kennet and Avon Canal Savernake is where both railway and Canal pass over the watershed from the valley of the river Thames to the valley of the Bristol Avon. Map locator - Savernake  House name at Savernake  Site of Savernake station and Junction  Berries in the woods - Savernake It's a beautiful yet remote spot - the train doesn't stop for many miles in either direction (Pewsey and Great Bedwyn) as the branch to Marlborough has long since been closed, and canal travelers pass by through the tunnel.
