Salisbury Cathedral

Salisbury Cathedral was started in 1220 it was completed by 1258, with the Spire, the tallest in England (404ft) added a generation later.

Salisbury is less than an hour from our Melksham base. The Melkshamtrain runs though Westbury, with some direct services carrying on to Salisbury (and connections being available otherwise).
