Millennium Bridge, Melksham
Melksham is on the river Avon (the
Bristol one), although it has turned its back on the river for many years. As a Millennium project, a great deal of work was done on the Riverside Walk and it's now a pleasant evening stroll. To some extend, this is an asset waiting to be used ... and we hope that when the
Wilts and Berks Canal is restored from the Kennet and Avon
Canal at Semington up to
Lacock and beyond that it will come up the river rather than bypassing the town.
