For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Relaxing on an Open Source training course

People come to us in Melksham for our Open Source training courses - we teach Perl, PHP, Python. We teach Java, Ruby and Lua. We teach C, C++ and Tcl. Not to mention Linux, Tomcat deployment and MysQL.

Our courses are intensive - you'll find that we run a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. day, and in addition the tutor's available for delegates for about an hour before the start, and into the evening. For residential delegates who are staying with us at Well House Manor, there's access to the library and training room at other times too - any time you like, using your keycard.

But there's a limit to how long anyone wants to study, and a walk in the countryside, a meal out, and other activities - usually with other delegates - can turn an excellent course into a superb overall experience.

[imgl=coeve021]Doing a jigsaw[/img]On a cold winter's night, delegates on a private Java course apply programming logic to a jigsaw. Set up the framework first (the edge pieces) then fill in the rest of the pieces / code.

[imgr=coeve020]Luncheon at Lacock[/img]Delegates come from all over the world - these are students from Finland who (if memory serves) were learning Python. And one lunch time, we took a slightly longer break (made up for at the end of the day) to show them something truly British for lunch - and also the beautiful village of Lacock that's just 4 miles up the road.

[imgl=coeve019]Evening trip to Avebury[/img]We love the countryside around Melksham. Here's an evening picture when we took delegates to see the Avebury stone circle and other local sites.

[imgr=coeve003]Breakfast at Well House Manor[/img] We provide a lighter, healthier breakfast rather than a fry-up. Freshly baked bread, meats and cheeses, yogurts, freshly squeezed orange juice (yes, really - you put the oranges in and run the machine yourself) ... fresh fruit, teas, bean-to-cup coffee ....
