What to do in Melksham and around the area

For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

Melksham, Wiltshire. 100 Miles to the West of London. An old town mentioned in the Domesday book and a great centre for touring. Easy Access by road and rail. A map of the surrounding area and of Melksham itself are also available.

Buildings around the Market Place

If you're in Melksham on a Well House Consultants course, you'll probably be staying in Well House Manor our fully featured business and training hotel near the centre of town.

Melksham is a working town - so it's not all "pretty" but it's well connected by road and there's plenty in the surrounding countryside. Quite a few places such as Bath can be reached by train and/or bus and there are evening services too.
