| For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training. We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk. Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active! Colchester, Essex
As you head out of London to Norwich, you pass through the flat lands of Essex - Chelmesford and Colchester then up through Suffolk (Ipswich) and on to Norwich. Colchester may not beckon you as you pass it by, but it's actually an ancient Roman City and was once perhaps their most important in Britain. Map locator - Colchester These days, as well as interest in the town centre, there's the University of Essex set on the outskirts near to Wivenhoe.  University of Essex grounds Also in the University ground in Wivenhoe House, a grand building dating from 1785 and now a hotel and conference centre.  Wivenhoe House (Yes, that's my car parked outside ... course to give ...) If you've visiting Colchester, you might like to go to the seaside at Clacton or Southend too. |
