 Brunswick, Maryland street scene Brunswick, Maryland is alongside the Potomac River and Chesapeake and Ohio Canal - a town with a population of around 5000, and a strong rail commuter flow to Washington DC, to which the journey takes around 80 minutes.  Antiques in Brunswick The streets of Brunswick house a number of antique and souvenir stores - many with very limited hours showing that their traffic is mostly weekend visitors - no double people coming out from the DC area to the beautiful setting.  Mommers Cafe, Brunswick, Maryland Some of the facilities are poor / basic - as shown by the door lock on the Gents at Mommer's Home Cooking store where - on the day of our visit at least - the cooking was canned rather than home cooked, and the duty 'chef' didn't seem to have even been able to heat things up as he / she should have done!
