Email traffic graphs
This page shows the latest email traffic graph for Well House Consultants.

The traffic is shown on a daily basis (vertical line weekly) and split as follows:
Red - unsolicited bulk emails rejected by our server
Blue - emails delivered to our staff email boxes
The vertical gradation is in units of 250 emails.

WHY AND HOW WE FILTER OUR EMAIL
We run the email filtering service due to the high proportion of unrequested traffic that's not connected to our business. On some occasions, that means that we accidentally reject an email that's genuine; if you haven't heard back from an email you send us within 24 hours, please write again. All our email say
We respond to incoming emails within 24 hours. If you email us and we don't get back with you, it's possible that our email filters have bounced your message. Please write again, and include the word "Melksham" in the subject line as a 'green light' to our filters. Thanks.

Emails are marked through Spamassassin - an open source (Apache Software Foundation) package which we use to mark each piece of email received with a score based on content, origin and headers. Regular updates to the profile library of tests performed allow us to keep up to date with fresh attempts to get unsolicited bulk emails through to us and others.

Once an email has been marked with Spamassassin, we further process it through a procmail filter to route in to /dev/null, bounce it, or forward it as appropriate; emails to impersonal addresses such as info@ and enquiries@ will typically go to all relevant staff members, whereas personal addresses such as leah@, lisa@ and graham@ chris@ come to us personally. Note that at vacation times, and time when some of us are away, we may monitor each other's mail boxes.
