# Expecting from a list
# Method 1 - combine options as a regular expression # List of items to look for set possible {cat dog cow pig hen} # Make into a regular expression set pre [join $possible |] # Look for and one of the items for {set k 0} {$k < 5} {incr k} { expect -re $pre { puts "$k: I got a $expect_out(0,string)" } } exit ------------------------------------------------------------ Tcl is a true scripting language, so I can "park" big blocks such as comments at the base ;-) This is how it runs dolphin:~ graham$ expect wuff dog cow 0: I got a dog 1: I got a cow and also a giraffe and a hen and 3: I got a hen so on we go unil dolphin:~ graham$ And it finished because I hadn't set a timeout and didn't make enough keyboard inputs in my allotted 10 seconds!
