The world has become a much smaller place. These days, it's easy to book a flight at quite short notice and travel halfway around the globe. On occasions, this has lead to some quite exotic trips; as a result of my training activities, I can point to trips to Alaska, Colorado, Italy, Greece, South Africa, Turkey and Bahrain amongst others. Oh - and this particular picture shows me beside a scud missile that was fired from Iraq during the first Gulf war (1992). Nice to know that my hotel had been a target back in those days :-/ ...
