Apache Tomcat - clustering and load balancing

Our two day Apache httpd and Tomcat course covers the fundamentals of configuring both webservers, and linking them toghether through Proxy and/or jk (remember that jk2 and warp are now deprecated). Things can get more complex if you're expecting to have a load that can't be handled by a single server; you're likely to want to consider running a cluster of machines and / or load balancing. Tomcat now offers facilities to handle both of these techniques, and we can provide private training to cover the techniques and issues involved - it's not only a question of spreading the load, but also a question of ensuring that all the servers stay in touch so that two of them don't both sell the same "last seat" at the same time ... and also ensuring that a user who comes back to a different server doesn't have to start a new session. The picture show a group of four Linux servers set up for Tomcat cluster training at our training centre.
