The church at Sandy Lane is said to be the only church in England that is constructed of timber and thatch, and was originally built as a place of worship. I believe 'em! Whatever its history and claim to fame, it's a quiet spot just a few miles from Melksham, where the religious can pray and the rest of us can enjoy the quiet tranquillity.
