Students on a public course

About a third of Perl users are using Perl to write applications that are to be accessed via browsers on the Internet, or on their intranet. Our "Using Perl on the Web" course is one of two advanced public Perl courses that we offer, and it takes students who are already familiar with Perl through topics such as the Common Gateway Interface, mod-perl, forms, hidden field, state and cookies. If any of the group is interested in writing robotic applications, search scripts, or the like, the tutor will take time to ensure that these subjects are covered too.
