Using a Tcl/Tk canvas

Using a Tcl/Tk canvas

If you're putting together a Tk GUI, then most of your work will probably be done using the standard or extended widget sets, but there will also be occasions when you want to draw images directly using lines, circles and polygons and labelling your graphic using text in a variety of fonts. The canvas widget provides you with these capabilities and more, allowing for fast generation of graphics. It uses a display list technology so that you can easily remove and alter graophic elements dynamically within you canvas.
