Expect can handle multiple parallel processes

In certain high-tech industries involving computer networks, you'll often have a need to run multiple tasks in parallel and corrolate the results - switch and computer monitoring is a classic example. Expect, with its ability to spawn multiple processes and wait on input from any one of them is a powerful tool in your armoury, if this is your application. Our public Tcl course includes good coverage of Expect, and on private courses we can go even further - making every practical use the Expect extensions once we have covered the basics of Tcl. Illustration is of a student on a public Tcl course at our Melksham centre, taken during an Expect practical.
