Wiltshire (where we teach our public Perl, Python, PHP and MySQL courses) is a county of market towns and big open spaces - Salisbury Plain, the Marlborough Downs, and so on. We're based in Melksham - a thriving spot with Avon Tyres being one of the big employers and Westinghouse in the process of moving here from Chippenham as I write. Som eof the other towns such as Calne haven't thrived to the same extent, although Calne is now recovering well from the closure of Harris's meat factory a few years ago. The Town Centre is very largely rejuvanated, and there are plenty of historic buildings to see. In places like Porte Marsh and Station Road, new light industry has stepped in to fill the breach.
