I just like the Turkish atmosphere in this Istanbul skyline. And I feel it's "legit" to include the picture here as we took it on our "Perl Whirl" cruise. A fabulous week - listening to originator of Perl himself talking about the future of the language, and presentations by equally emininent people in the PHP and MySQL worlds too. I have to say that we're rather more "generalists" than these people - there seems to be a certain animosity between the Perl and Python people especially (we have no axe to grind either way - they're BOTH excellent languages), and the clean but slightly exotic lines of this picture remind me rather more of the Python language than of Perl.
