The ancient mosques stand side by side with modern buildings in Istanbul, Turkey. Each has its purpose, just as each programming language has its purpose although they sometimes overlap. We run training classes on Python and Perl, courses on PHP and MySQL, and lessons on Linux and on MySQL. Many of these subjects were covered on the Geek Cruise we took in October 2004, on which this picture was taken. A fabulous if busy week, listening to the top specialists in four of the subjects we teach as they talked about the philosophies of the languages, advanced best use techniques, and how their particular open source niche is going forward in the future. We look forward to imparting some of their wisdom to you and helping you use their products in the best way when you com eon our courses.
