We run Open Source training courses - on programming subjects and also on LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl/Python) deployment - at our Melksham, Wiltshire training centre. Why have we chosen Wiltshire as our base? We're only about 100 miles from London and we have good road and public transport access from the rest of the UK too. House and office prices are sensible so that we don't have to charge you "an arm and a leg" and there's plenty of good places to stay locally. In the evening (if you can drag yourself away from our library and fast internet connection) there's plenty to do - for example walk along the Kennet and Avon canal which passes about a mile from our training centre. If you walk up to Devizes, you'll get good exercise and see some beautiful scenery too ... with a chace to sample a pint of 6X and eat at "The Black Horse" or another of the pubs along the way. There's even a "late bus" back of you can get a taxi if you prefer.
