A Bird at the dying pool, the Courts

The Court at Holt is a National Trust property where the gardens are open daily throughout the summer. They include both formal gardens and a much more open Arboretum area, as well as secluded spots such as the dying pool where this picture was taken. I should explain that the dying pool's name comes from the colouring of cloth, rather than a macabre past!
