Square brackets and braces in Tcl

Square brackets and braces in Tcl

Tcl is unusual amongst the languages we teach in that it's command based not operator based. This means that each statement starts with a command word which is followed by a number of space separated parameters. Square brackets and curly braces are used to request that part of a command is performed first (as a subcommand), and are deferred for possible later performance respectively.
