| For 2023 - we are now fully retired from IT training. We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk. Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active! This page is written in PHP; if you're interested in how to do this sort
of thing on your own site, but the source code we've provided is confusing,
why not consider one of our PHP courses?At Well House Consultants, we use this page and similar techniques to allow us to offer our web site visitors information that's applicable to the part of the world from which they are visiting our site. For example:
• visitors from countries where English is not the dominant language will clearly be told that the course is in English
• Our phone number will be shown in the way that it would be dialled from the originating country
• Our private course quotation page defaults to the selected country, or if the country is a one where we have different areas for quoting training, we'll supply a form with the word "postcode", "zipcode" or "county" as appropriate.
• visitors from distant countries looking at public course pages will be warned that the courses are in England, and where appropriate an extra warning telling them that a Visa is required will be issued.
