For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
First Aid
There is usually a first aider on site at Well House Manor, either Graham Ellis or Chris Ellis, and Lisa Ellis is our designated first aider at our administative centre. In the event of any requirement for first aid, these people should be contacted. Please ask any member of staff if you don't know who is qualified or where they are.
The local hospital is located inbetween Well House Manor and our administrative centre. From the Manor turn right out of the main gate and proceed around 200 metres, and from the admininstrative centre also turn right and proceed for around 300 metres. There are several pharmacies in town, as well as a Boots.

Our training centre is fitted with fire alarms and these are tested regularly. There are also fire extinguishers in various locations.

Please make yourself familiar with the exits from the building when you arrive, and identify both the regular and emergency exits. At the Manor there are 4 exits on the ground floor - the main entrance, patio doors in the Wilts and in the Whitworth and a staff entrance from the library. At the administrative centre the regular customer exit is through the front door and down the stone steps to the front parking area and garden, the emergency exit is down the internal staricase to the ground floor, where you turn left and exit through the side door. Our staff will be on hand at both sites to ensure that everyone is evacuted safely.

Once you're out of the building, please make your way to the recall point near the garage at the Manor and the front gate at the administrative centre, where we will check that everyone's been evacuated safely. Do not stop to collect your personal belongings as you leave. Do not attempt to fight the fire if there would be any personal risk to yourself or others. Do not re-enter the building until told that it is safe to do so by a member of the Well House Consultants staff.

During courses, the regular fire marshall for the ground floor is Graham Ellis. In his absence Chris Ellis will deputise. Fire marshalls will be aware of customers, contractors and others in their area of the building, and should check for all these people. The deputy will be aware of the absence of the regular marshalls as appropriate.
