For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

Contract Services

At Well House Consultants, we're experts in a number of technologies such as PHP, Python, Perl, Tcl/Tk, Expect, Linux, MySQL and Java, to name a few, and strong in other areas such as Unix and further Internet topics. Whilst our main business is in the provision of Training Services, we also provide contract services such as:

WRITING WEB-BASED APPLICATIONS

We'll work with you to write and install a web-based application. And, if you wish, we can also take on the longer term maintenance of it. Examples of the work we have done include:
• Employee time card entry system
• On line shopping cart and payment system (see Express Cleaning Supplies web site)
• Secure payment system for online data purchase
• On line quotation system
• Estate Agent's site, allowing visitors to search out properties
• Brochure request systems
• Bulletin Board system

ONLINE TECHNICAL SUPPORT

We can provide 365-day-per-year online technical support for your web-based application. Services can vary under this scheme. To give you an idea, we already provide each of the following for at least two customers:
• Guaranteed response to support requests
• Guaranteed availability for site update work, including applications
• Regular backups from your live site
• Mirror sites
• Regular administration / maintenance work

WEB PAGE DESIGN

Although we specialise in web sites which provide interfaces to web-based applications, we have also provided a number of entry level sites for clients. It's surprising how often such a site requires a search capability, a form to ask for more information, or a password-protected update facility for the site's owner. Such capabilities are our staple diet!

CONTRACT PROGRAMMING

If you have a PHP, Python, Perl, Tcl/Tk or Java project and a shortage of skilled staff, we can help. We'll provide short-term staff to help you while your resources are stretched, and we'll document our work thoroughly so that you'll be able to take back over from us once you're back on track.

OUR SETUP

Our offices are fully equipped with various systems and servers (running Windows, Linux, Solaris and MacOS) and quality printers and high-speed internet links, which are used in our contract work as appropriate. Typically, we keep a local copy of your web applications on one of our systems at all times to offer you the best service.
