Public Transport across Wiltshire

I'm planning for some joined up thinking - thinking about joining up public (and private) transport for joined up - efficient, environmentally friendly, journey to, from, and in Wiltshire. The first map here shows the passenger railway lines of Wiltshire, with stations as solid black dots, and with railheads in neighbouring counties shown as hollow dots.

The numbers in green are the number of departing trains (the number of arriving trains will be the same, of course!) in a typical hour, and the numbers in red are the number of passenger journeys in thousands made to / from the station in the last year fow which we have data. So - in a typical hour, one train calls at Pewsey, and a total of some 202,000 journeys are made to or from that station. In a typical hour, 4 trains call at Bradford-on-Avon, and around 416,000 journeys are made annually.

The lines shown in green are East - West routes from London which pass though the county.
The lines shown in blue are Cardiff / Bristol to Portsmouth / Weymouth (Heart of Wessex)
The line shown in red is the TransWilts
Black lines are used for the Bedwn to London service, and the Salisbury to Southampton, both of which only run a short distance in Wiltshire
Where I've used a dotted line, the service is very limited indeed

Although the five largest population centres in Melksham all have railway stations, there are a number of other towns which have populations of over 3,000 which don't; I've added those onto this map, and indicated the bus routes that run most frequently to their railheads. Population cutoffs from [here].
