| For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training. We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk. Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active! Five new fans at Well House Manor  Late last week, we installed ceiling fans in four out of the five bedrooms at Well House Manor, and in the museum too. A little bit of air circulation can do wonders on a hot summers day, and can equally drive the hot air that's risen on a cold winter's day down to the bottom of the room. They are silent, sleek, modern units ... and the built in light's are actually brighter than the lights they've replaced. In any hotel, there has to be a cycle of repaint, refurbish and upgrade. Otherwise the place goes stale. And at Well House Manor, only one bedroom now remains to be repainted in the current cycle - not that our regular guests realise that it needs to be done; we want to catch it long before that!We're nearly full this week, and full again over the weekend, but come the autumn we've got good availability on most days.
