For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training. We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.
Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!
I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here)) |
Hotel food, Melksham - enjoy the variety of the American way
I've always been impressed by the variety of food available at some hotels I've stayed in in the USA - from Italian to Japanese, from Mexican to Burgers, and from Pizza to Chicken. And I've rarely had the same variety available to me in Europe - even if a hotel is large and has an excellent restaurant, the menu is likely to wear thin quite quickly.
Our "Well House Manor" in Melksham is a small hotel - less than half a dozen rooms - and yet we want you to be able to have a wide variety of food when you're with us, and for that to be excellent food. Can we do it? Yes, we can; we do it "the American way". At Well House Manor, you can eat from the following menu types:
Pizza - Kebabs - Burgers - Chicken - Italian - Chinese - Malaysian - Indian - Baguettes.
And the food will - in each case - be cooked by a chef expert at that particular type of food, and with the benefit of a kitchen that's set up for the particular style.
So - what is the American way? Many of our local takeaways offer a delivery service (and some more will deliver to our guests, even if not to private addresses), and we are pleased to have all of their menus to hand at Well House Manor. Simply phone in your order (or ask one of our team to do so), and your food will be delivered - usually within 30 minutes. Simply pay the delivery driver; we'll provide crockery and cutlery (even wine glasses), and you're welcome to eat in our breakfast room / dayings cafe, or in your room if you prefer. Simples, no corkage charge, and if it's Italian food you want, it's cooked the Italian way, Chinese food the Chinese way, and Indian food the Bangladeshi way. Lovely!
