Lisa and I took a trip at lunchtime today to Fishponds, in Bristol to visit a specialist store that we got to know when we were working on the restoration of our home at The Spa in Melksham. One room remains to be completed even now, 10 years later; we took on the project of Well House Manor in 2006 and that's diverted our attention for a while, but we really should have lighting in our master bathroom!
We stopped for lunch in a local park, home to the area's war memorial celebrating the deadly sacrifices made by many amongst the new growth of daffodils. I was struck by how different the two views of the same scene that i took within a few seconds of each other are. There's a life lesson and reminder there ...
