For 2023 - we are now fully retired from IT training. We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.
Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!
I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here)) |
Spring is in the air
What better time to share some new pictures of our training centre with you - those of you who've been here on public courses may spot a few changes. Here's a distant view of our grade 2 listed Spa house seen from across the fields towards Bowerhill. Although well connected, (just a short walk to the town centre, and on and A road), it's a quiet location which is just what you want when learning. Training Center, across the fieldsOutside, we've been laying out the front garden more formally - give it a few short weeks to grow, and there should be plenty of greenery in the beds as you take a stroll during breaks. Gardens, and plenty of parking too. We've also redecorated the training room, and upgraded out systems and course resources. Student packs include full course notes, Regular Expression mousemats, pad and pen, and recent copies of "Of Course" ... all supplied to you in a convenient Well House carrier in case you're like us an arrive with you bags already bulging. The training room awaits a Perl class (written 2005-03-24, updated 2006-06-05)
