create dir,file in expect Posted by bhavik (bhavik), 7 December 2007 Hi folks,to store expect_out(buffer) of the process I hav create file(which is differ each time since it has time as in its name) in varible dir. (again it has week as in its name)...... e.g.- ~/$WEEK_DIR/AIX_snapshot_$TIME_FILE.txt ...... problem is i dont know how create dir n file as per above e.g. within my expect script otherwise i've to create dir 1st then i've code which is creating file(n working by creating dir. externally) but not dir. Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 7 December 2007 The commandfile mkdir splot will create a directory called "splot" in the curent directory. You can also use absolute paths, relative paths, etc, in the nomal way. Note that if you want to create a whole directory tree, you should start off at the top of the tree and create the subdirectories one by one.
