Usage of send in expect/tcl Posted by skumar003 (skumar003), 4 February 2003 I have a telnet application that rins well with send -s "$cmd" When this application is called from a GUI it does not like the send -s option.GUI is obviously an other window and it is failingto execute the send command. Can U tell how this can be rectified? Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 4 February 2003 Both the expect extension to Tcl and the Tk extension have a "send" command, and the Tk one takes precedence. Your Expect application worked fine, but when you added Tk in, its send command took over - hence the odd error message.Change you calls to the send command in expect into calls to exp_send, and your code should function again.
