Specifying a log file name at the command prompt Posted by skumar003 (skumar003), 7 May 2003 My executable(RUN) at the command prompt is as follows.RUN contains the commands execute port@host package Package contains the scripts to run In the execute file I am doing the following to create a log file log_file -a -noappend results.log. Whenever I perform RUN it creates a logfile results.log. What I want to do from here is that have the option of specifying a log file when I say RUN For Eg: Run x.log --it should create log file named x.log If I juat say RUN it by default creates results.log How can I accomplish this? Here's an example which uses the last command line parameter as the file name if the command is run with parameters, and uses results.txt as the log file if you run it with no parameters at all Code:
