For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Listing files in Tcl

What kind of a widget do i use to list files with all their attributes (name, size and date)?
What command can i use for this?
Code:
'set var ls -l'

Doesn't work when i try to list the files.

If you have them available, I would be tempted to look at the Tix Megawidgets.   However, I'm on the island of Guernsey fot the rest of this week so don't have much access or any Tcl manuals here to advise further from.

Could you send me copies of the reference manuals?

Sorry - I can point you at links when we get back, but our books (see http://www.wellho.net/library/index.html) are just single copies that we have on our library shelves.  We do invite people who are in our area to drop by with an appointment if they want to look something up, or see a book before they order it online from Amazon or elsewhere.
