MySQL as Case Sensitive Posted by keith (keith), 9 December 2004 Hi all... especially Graham (Graham :- Courses in September on MySQL and PHP) I am confused and need help. How do I make MySQL case sensitive when I query it in PHP? Currently if I say .....WHERE abcd='A' It finds both a and A entries. Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 9 December 2004 In MySQL, queries are case sensitive if a field is defined as being a binary field, and are case insensitive on non-binary fields. Sounds like you may need to go back and change your field definitions!(If you really want to store binary data, bu the way, you use a blob and not a binary type.)
