For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
connecting Tomcat and Apache using jk2

Posted by gpo (gpo), 9 January 2007
I've installed both tomcat and Apache on my winxp pc,now I want to connect them with jk2.
how do you configure it?

Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 9 January 2007
Jk2 has been deprecated, and jk is recommeded as an alternative.  I'm familiar with the setup of jk and help with that if you need (although I suggest that a book / online guide will start you off better that a question-answer session here).   Is there any particular reason for you to use jk2 rather than jk?

Well,I want to setup a j2ee server in the end, in that tomcat acts as a servlet ..but if jk is stable then please show me how to configure it?

Can I suggest you have a look at the standard texts on the subject - it's covered in quite a few of the books and there's little point in me spending time copying that out.
