For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))

I am using pywin32, for python 2.5 on windows xp.

What I want to do is these:

handle = Gethandle ("window_name")

"window_name"   =  "123.txt"  with notepad, for example.

it should return a list if there are more than one with the same name.

and then

GainFocus(handle)

Keyboard_event ( "hello python!")
Mouse_event (x,y, left, 2)

the (x,y) = should be relative to the active window and independent of the window's position.
2 as in clicking twice.

Last,  maximize, minimize, resize, move, kill,

above(handle)

I'm not sure that I understand the question.  Are you asking us to write a piece of code for you, or reporting problems that you're having with one of the ASP functions?

Rather than ask us to write code to your specifiaction, you'll find you can make much more effective use of the resources here by having a go yourself and seeing how you get on ... asking us for help if specific issues then arise, via sample programs.   But I will warn you that I'm not an ASP person, so I'll be very limited in what I can then do.
