router-id

Posted by priyadharshini (priyadharshini), 12 July 2008
Hi,

Can anyone explain the use of router-id? In some type of routers BGP configuration doesn't require a rouquire a router-id. In some other routers router-id is mandatory. Why its so?

Thank you,
priyadharshini.

Hi,

Could someone tell me why 1.1.1.1/32 and 2.2.2.2/32 are not being accepted as a router-id in tornado and orion routers?

Thank you,
