For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Domain Registry of America

Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 7 October 2004
We just got three "Domain Name Expiration Notice"s from this company at Suite 526, 56 Gloucester Road, London SW7 4UB this morning.

All of our domains are currently registered though channels we are very happy with, and we would not even consider using a company such as "Domain Registry of America". Their prices are very high, and their letter looks to me as if it's designed to (a) panic people into responding and (b) look like an invoice even though it says it isn't one.  Although they have a London address, the only phone number they offer is in Ontario, Canada. I don't know who they are, and the word "scam" came to my mind.

Looks like they're flooding the market - we got invites to renew

Graham, I too received some notices from this company.

Shortly afterward an email from my domain registration service warned me about them. It's quite a rip off.

If anyone else receives emails from "Domain Registry of America" the best place for them is the trash can.

They're still at it - another in the post this morning for the regularexpression.info domain.

(Posting here to boost this one to top of the pile ... want to warn everyone that this looks like a DECEIPTFUL SCAM to me)
