For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Registation email addresses

Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 3 December 2004
When you register for Opentalk, you are required to give an email address to which we can send your password.

This email address also serves as an independent way that I (as the board administrator) can reach you apart from through the forum in the future - for example if there's an access problem, or if we were to change the URL of the board.   It isn't used for regular circular mailings, nor passed on to third parties, and it can remain hidden from other users.  See our privacy policy at http://www.wellho.net/resources/privacy.html

If you're changing your email address, please log in and change your email address in your profile so that we can stay in touch if we need to.

If you're just registering, please give us a valid email address - without it, you'lll not be notified of your password and won't be able to use the board.  If you've already tried to register from a non-operational address, please let me know the details and I'll be able to help.   I probably know there's a problem anyway but just can't get in touch -  such issues are reported to me by the server!

Posting a follow up to get this to the top of the stack.

If you give an email address that doesn't reach you when you register, then you won't get your password and you won't be able to log in.

If you have accidentally give an incorrect email address when you registered and you're still awaiting your registration, please let me know!

Bump ...

People are still trying to register from email addresses that don't exist.  Sorry - if you try that, you won't get your welcome email that tells you your password .... I get it instead

Bump again ....

And if you don't allow your email account to receive emails from us, how on earth are we supposed to confirm your registration?

Please do NOT spamtrap our automated registration emails ... - it's very rude of you to expect us to jump through hoops to register you for a free service!

Bl**y Cheek ... when we are doing you the favour and you started the conversation!
