Posts via email? Posted by enquirer (enquirer), 28 October 2002 Is it possible to have all new posts on one of the forums sent to me at the email address I registered with?Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 28 October 2002 You don't actuall have to log in to see postings (that may save you a step if you have cookies disabled or you're on an internet cafe machine), and you can set up to be nofified when there's an update to an individual topic - but I think that might be an instant message.Good idea ... wish I could just throw a switch and have you emailed with all the changes on a particular board but - don't think it's in the software - I'm concerned at spam / security issues, which is probably why it's not in the software in the first place ![]() I will give it a thought - perhaps a moderated journal for those who subscribe to it would be possible on a twice weekly basis. Thoughts, anyonbe? Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 22 November 2002 Giving this some further thought; me thinks that we're getting a significant but low volume of posts - perhaps too few to encourage people to come back every day or two. Would anyone welcome the ability to receive (or object to) a weekly digest of postings to boards to which they have posted (or subscribed)? This page is a thread posted to the opentalk forum
