Why use BBC code not HTML?
Why do wikis and forums use Bulletin Board Codes not HTML?
Why [b] rather that <b> ?
1. More secure against injection attacks
2. Allow the programmer to easily provide a restricted tag set
3. To give an easy to learn set of instructions to the contributor.
