* Children

Well House Manor provides business accommodation throughout the week and doesn't have facilities for children. If you're holidaying in Wiltshire with older children (teenagers), you'll be very welcome at the weekend and on public holidays. Younger children will probably be much happier elsewhere.

* Smoking

We're no smoking throughout. But you are able to smoke outside, and we're provided some facilities to make this a little mor comfortable for you.

* Staffing

You'll find that there's a member of staff on duty from breakfast time to mid evening, and there's always a staff member reachable via the push of a button who can be on site quickly if need be.

* Bring food in

There are a number of restaurants within a few hundred yards of Well House Manor, but - especially if you're on your own - you might prefer to bring a takeaway back. And you're very welcome to do so - we provide knives, forks, spoons (and glasses) for you, and our breakfast / dining room is available for you. We do ask that you clear your used plates onto the rack in the kitchen door so that other guests can use the table after you.

* Internet

We have wireless internet access throughout Well House Manor, and wired access points in the bedrooms and conference rooms. We also have a PC and a printer available for your use in the Library The cost of internet access is included in the room rates.

* Walkins

If you've stayed with us before ... by all means drop in on the "off change", but we're now getting quite busy during the week. If you've not been with us before, please pop in during the afternoon or early evening and we'll do our best to accommodate you, but please bear in mind that we close, mid evening, to casual walkins. That's because we're not a good fit if you're just looking for a bed to sleep in for a few hours because you've had too much to drink to be able to drive home legally.

* Discounts

All bookings for Well House Manor should be made direct with us via the web site or telephone. We rarely offer commissions to booking agents, nor do we offer discounts beyond those listed on our web site.

The major discount we DO offer is to local businesses who book and guarantee against no-shows 10 room nights per month. This discount also extends to organisations who are members of Melksham Chamber of Commerce, and to individual bookings of 10 nights or more. The discounted room rate is £70.00 per night, single or double, including breakfast(s).

* Cancellation policy

If you let us know by 11 a.m. on the day you were due to arrive, there will normally be no cancellation charge. And if you're already with us and let us know by 11 a.m., you may check out early without penalty. If you don't cancel until after the deadline, or don't show up, you'll be liable for one night's charge.

We do reserve the right to make an admin charge of up to 100 pounds where we believe that a booking wasn't a genuine firm booking in the first place, and we reserve the right to levy that charge retrospecively, and even if you give us notice prior to 11 a.m. on the day you were due to arrive. Examples of when we might make such a charge:
a) If you cancel a room hoping to rebook right away as a last minute deal
b) If you're "wait listed" elsewhere and booked with us just in case
c) If your booking was made to help secure a visa
d) If you booked and paid on a credit card and want refunding my a differnt method
e) If you left a substantial amount of time between knowing you wouldn't need the room and letting us know.

Cancellation via the web site, email, phone or fax please. Phoned cancellations must be confirmed to avoid any misunderstandings.

* Booking Policy

Bookings are taken up to a year in advance.
All bookings to be guaranteed by credit card.

Well House Manor provides accommodation for trainees on Well House Consultants training courses, and some of our rooms are block reserved for such use. If a course isn't fully booked, we can often provide rooms at fairly short notice.

If you enquire on line about a room and it's not available, you may be invited to leave us your contact details in case a room does become available. We only make this offer if we thinks it's likely that we will be able to help, so please do leave a note of how we can get in touch.

* Motor Bikes

We have a lockable double garage in which you'll be welcome to keep your bike while you're with us.

* Extending your stay

If you want to extend your stay, simply visit our web site - which you can do from the library, call us or simply ask a staff member. We'll do our best to oblige, and try to ensure you don't need to change your room.

* Shortening your stay

Occasionally, guests have to leave earlier than they expected. Let us know by 11 a.m. if you can, and we'll cancel the extra nights without charge. If you let us know after 11 a.m., we'll usually only be able to refund from the following day.
