Joseph O'Hanlan
"A memorial mass for Joseph F. O'Hanlan , 42, of Carlisle, will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Shrine Catholic Church, 140 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle, on Sept. 27 at 3 p.m.
He died Monday, Sept. 8, 1997 in Mechanicsburg.
Mr. O'Hanlan was born on Dec. 9, 1954 in East Strassburg, the son of Loretta Rogers O'Hanlan of Carlisle and the late Michael O'Hanlan.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was formerly employed by Hampden Township.
He attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Carlisle, was a former board member of the Cumberland Valley Midget Football Association and a former member of the Carlisle Boxing Club.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Vicki L. O'Hanlan of Mechanicsburg; two sons, Ross and Ryan J. of Mechanicsburg; four brothers, Michael of Las Vegas, Nev., Tom of Chicago, Dennis of Florida and Jack of South Carolina; three sisters, Kathy Souders of Virginia, Donna Volrath of North Carolina, and Laurie Eastburn of Pennsylvania.
The Rev. Andrew J. Fontanella will officiate at the memorial mass. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Myers Funeral Home, 37 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg, is handling arrangements."
